Hooker of Linton, Indiana, born in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. "Gene" Hooker and Alverna Mae Hooker (Gustin). He is survived by: his wife Melissa S. Hooker (Ellis); his son William E. Hooker, III; his grandson William Evan David Hooker; his sisters, Karen Hooker, Linda Hooker and Debbie Grayless (Ed); his nieces, Kim Birchman (Mike), Tiffany Trout (Tommy) and Megan Grayless; his cousin Jan (Chuck); his family, Connie Ellis, Penny Dowell (Terry), Paul Ellis (Fifi) and Tammy Davenport (Dan); his nieces and nephews, Travis Dowell (April), Matt Dowell (Jessica), Nicole Vickers, Cari Ellis, Tricia Robinson (Aaron), Tim Ellis and Keith Ellis (Kristin); his parents-in-law, Paul and Lucille Ellis; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Ellis and Bennie Ellis. He is also survived by his wife, son, grandson, family, friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home (140 E Vincennes St, Linton, IN 47441). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
