He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin Sr. and Betty Jean Franklin (Yates); his grandson Jon Michael Franklin; and his siblings, John David Franklin and Elizabeth Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Laverne Franklin; his son Patrick Franklin (Laura) of Terre Haute; his granddaughter Hannah Claire Franklin; and his siblings, Nancey Maegerlein of Williams, Edward Franklin (Karen) of Linton, Virgil Franklin (Cheryl) of Linton and Debra Franklin of Fort Wayne.
