He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert, Sr. Padgett and Nellie Padgett (Candler); his wife Virginia Padgett; and his sisters, Sandra Lou Peltier, Linda Lou Padgett and Lola Mae Padgett.
He is survived by: his children, Pamala Padgett (Tom Flynn), Bobbie Padgett (Chris Moore), Starlene Lucas (Richard), Randy Padgett (Lynn), Riley Padgett (MaShelle Reeves), Melinda Sharp (James), Rocky Padgett (Erin) and Robert Junior Padgett II; his sisters, Lauretta Padgett and Joretta Dixon; and his great grandchildren, Timothy Willard and Adam Ryan Fish. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.
