She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elkins and Effie Elkins (Ellison); her husband Ralph Padgett; her daughter-in-law Denise Padgett; her siblings, George Elkins, Paul Elkins, Betty June Elkins and Charles Wyllis Elkins; her siblings-in-law, Leroy Padgett, Johnny Padgett, Clarence Padgett, Willy Padgett, Elizabeth Boyles, Mazel Terhune, Ellen Hobbs and Loucine Tannehill; and her nephews, Charles "Skipper" Elkins, Jr. and Harold D. Elkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Jim Padgett (Nancy) of Hymera and David Padgett of Linton; her granddaughters, Dawn Heck and Marie Padgett; her stepgrandchildren, Richard Daugherty (Mindy) and Rhonda Dupin; her great grandchildren, Cody Baker, Lauren Rae Baker, Harper Keller and Eric Keller; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Shawn Daugherty, Kimberly Dupin, Alexis Dupin and Emily Drosity; her great great grandchildren, Arayah'Mae Ballard and Caulder Baker; her great grandchildren, Brinleigh Booker and Weston Booker; her sister-in-law Doris Elkins; and her nieces and nephews, Pauline Uebel (Steve), Deloris Stefancik (Brad), Anthony Elkins (Tammy), Mark Elkins, Kerry Elkins, Cheri Elkins, Deeanna Lacy (Brad), Lena Hintz, Janet Moyer (John) and Pamela Bournique.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home (140 E Vincennes St, Linton, IN 47441). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
