He is survived by: his parents, Luther William Welch and Emma Marie Messer; and his wife Rosella M. Glardon. He is also survived by his wife (Rosella Welch), two daughters (Verna Marie Summerville, Alta Welch), six sons (Luther Jr., Charles, David, Donald, Harold, and Gerald), twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
