He is survived by: his close friend Teena Cox; his son Kermit Smith III (Anita); his brother Tommy Smith of Linton, IN; his daughter Crystal Smith of Maine; his brothers, Kent Smith (Mary) of Sullivan, IN and Hallie Bruce Smith (LeeAnn) of Dugger, IN; and his grandchildren, Brian, Carol Ann, Nathan and Christopher.
