She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Sexton and Edna Gilberta Sexton (Gambill); her husbands, Donald Hayes and Charles B. Rogers; her stepson Donald 'Donnie Robert Hayes; her grandson Hendrix V. R. Steele; and her siblings, Mamie Ruth Alsman, Robert Sexton and Donald Sexton.
She is survived by: her uncle Rev. Jack Gambill; her son Steve Steele; her daughter-in-law Lissa Vaughn Steele of Sullivan; her daughter Roberta 'Bertie' Wilson (Carlton) of Robinson, IL; her stepchildren, Sharon Horrall (Ernie) of Terre Haute, Sandra Mack (John) of Greenwood, Larry Joe Hayes of Terre Haute and Chuckie Rogers of Linton; and her grandchildren, Carri Barbour, Carlton 'Chip Wilson II, Malokia B. Steele-Cooper, Joshua K. Steele, Elijah S. Steele, Fiersen A. Steele and Sephan T. Steele. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
