He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Theron and Ethel McKisson (Beight); his wife Jean McKisson (Copeland); his son James Leroy McKisson, Jr.; and his brothers, Theron McKisson, Jr. and Orval McKisson.
He is survived by: his children, David McKisson of West Lafayette, Patti Lynn Axe (Daniel) and Judith Rose Laughlin (Jeff); his grandchildren, Scott McKisson (Megan), Matthew Axe (Nickie), Joseph Axe, Jennifer Wathen, Jamie Fitch (Scott) and Jeffrey Michael Laughlin; his great grandchildren, Drake, Claire, Samantha, Wesley, Luke, Austin, Jerek, Jacie, Briley, Madison and Lauren; and his siblings, Audrey Daniel, Joan Peters, Ruth Smith, Mary Edith Kelly and Johnny McKisson.
