He was predeceased by: his parents, Leva Hammond and Olen Hammond; his grandmothers, Opal and Elizabeth Stevenson; his brothers, Darrell Hammond (Laura) and Doug Hammond (Nadine); his son Charles Edward Hammond; his son-in-law Don Trowbridge; and his brothers-in-law, Eugene Merchant (Ella), Bud Merchant, Kenny Merchant, Larry Merchant and Ronald Floyd.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Jama Trowbridge, Mike Hammond (Kelly) and John Hammond (Glenda); his daughter-in-law Sue Hammond; his sisters-in-law, Betty Floyd, Arlene Merchant and Nancy Merchant; his grandchildren, Tyler Hammond (Tia), Amber Mullin (Charles), Hannah Powell (Brandon), Megan Carpenter (Tyler), Jordan Hammond (Nick Rogers), Lindsay Denton (Jeff), Chance Hammond, Shelby Steffen (Jake) and Jameson Hammond (Alyssa); and his great grandchildren, Haiden Hammond, Macy Mullin, Nola Powell, Ayriana Carpenter, Braxton Carpenter, Delaney Carpenter, Amelia Rogers, Elliot Rogers, Addison Denton, Ava Denton, Cash Hammond, Greyson Steffen, Lyla Steffen, Everett Steffen, Trace Hammond and Olenna Hammond.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home (105 N Montgomery St, Spencer, IN 47460). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
