Fred Place Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Place of Linton, Indiana, born in Vandalia, Illinois, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred A. Place II and Berma Ann Place (Shephard); and his brother Kenneth 'Skip VanDoren. He is survived by: his wife Milea Anna Place (Cook); his children, Laura L. Dayhoff (Jeffrey) of Carmel and Bryan Place (Shaye) of Linton; his stepsons, Mickey Heath (Soyla) of Texas and Monty Heath (Amie) of Sandborn; his grandchildren, Ashley (Jake), Trent, Jordan (Sally), Caden, Lydia, Ashlyn (Tony), Analise, Synthia, Milea, Tyler, Andrew and Megan; and his great grandchildren, Sylis, TJ and Lainey.
In compliance with state regulations, social distancing and face masks are required by all attending.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made in memory of Fred to CASA Voices for Kids or to Calvary Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home, 89 C St. NW, Linton, IN 47441.
