With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edith R. Blake of Linton, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Russell and Maude Morse Russell; her husband R. Wayne Blake; and her siblings, Olive Love, Creola Morris, Willis, Earl, Frank, Carl, Hubert, Oscar and Jim.
She is survived by: her children, Blake (Karen) of Jacksonville, Robin Blake Pilant (John) of Lewis, IN. and Dana Blake Goodman of Linton, IN.; her grandchildren, Sarah Cullison (Jason), John Pilant (Lora), David Pilant (Cathy), Scott Blake and Ben Goodman; her great grandchildren, Shannon, Phoebe, Gabriel, Elijah, Kason, Kasch, Kyler and Baylie; and her grandchildren, Michael and Jessyca.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newkirk's Funeral Home (8195 E Main St, Dugger, IN 47848). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
