He is survived by: his sons, Steven Dougherty (Sheila) of Linton and David Nelson Dougherty, Jr. (Sibyl) of Cleveland, Texas; his grandchildren, Travis Miller, Ashli Dougherty, Brad Dougherty and Aynsli Dougherty; his great grandchildren, Justin and Declan; and his sister Barbara Butler.
