He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Francis Rice and Gerogianna Edmonson (Geatches); his grandsons, D. J. Geatches and Christopher Scott Geatches; and his siblings, Carlos Edmonson (Judy) and Diana Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Geatches (Bedwell) of Linton; his children, Danny Geatches (Teresa) of Linton, Mike Geatches of Arkansas, Dustin Geatches (Brandi) of Jasonville, Eric Geatches (Ellen) of Linton and Rhonda Himebrook (Kenny) of Hymera; his grandchildren, Thomas, Joe, Kayla, Erica, Krista, Latasha, Austin, Ashley, Grace, Connor, Jude, Quenton, Callista, Jade and Lucas; and his siblings, Rick Edmonson, Steven Edmonson, Edwin Edmonson, Marilyn Rogers, Teresa Graham (Raymond), Rebecca "Becky" Williams (Larry), Danetta Kelly (Ron) and Cindy Smith (Dick). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
