He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Wence and Barbara Wence (Booker); his wife Judy Wence; and his grandchildren, Katie and Matthew Wence.
He is survived by: his sons, David Wence of Linton, Daniel Wence of Falls Church, Rob Alkire and Bill Alkirethree; his brothers, Ronnie Wence (Shirley) of Arizona, Larry Wence (Earline) of Kentucky and Terry Wence (Mary) of Terre Haute; his grandsons, Adam Wence, Noah Wence, Joshua Wence, Aaron Alkire and Hunter Alkire; and his great grandchildren, Octavia Wence, Sutton Wence and Amara Wence.
