He is survived by: his mother Kimberly Short (Strouse) of Ligonier; his children, Krauss Short of Wolcottville, Starr Short of Kendallville, Isis Short of Ligonier and Hazel Miller of Goshen; his siblings, Shawna Short of Ligonier and Matthew Short of Pueblo, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Evelyn Short, Max Sibert and Irene Short of Ligonier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
