She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Pascal "Ted" and Flora Gibbons (Bilyeu); and her siblings, Elton Gibbons, Ray Gibbons, Clifton Gibbons, Jessie Mullins and Judy Lauseng.
She is survived by: her son Benjamin Hancock of Constantine, Michigan; her granddaughter Lita Elizabeth Burton of Sturgis, Michigan; her sister Shirley Smith of Anderson, Indiana; her nephew Chad Marner (Michelle) of Cassopolis, MI; her close friend Carl Stanley Cramer of Goshen, Indiana.; and her husband Joe Stapleton of Ligonier.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Yeager Funeral Home (1589 Lincolnway S, Ligonier, IN 46767). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
