He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudy Chupp and Fannie Chupp (Miller); his brothers, Delbert, Ray, Mel and Vernon Chupp; and his brother-in-law Norman Hochstetler.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Eash; his children, Larry Chupp (Regina) of Bremen, Regina Miller (Sam) of Ligonier, Maudeen Chupp of Middlebury, Waneta Stutzman (James) of LaGrange, Jason Chupp of LaGrange, James Chupp (Sharon) of Wawaka, Steven Chupp (Brigid) of Goshen, Justin Chupp (Kaitlyn) of Goshen, Nelson Chupp (Serena) of Constantine, MI and Jolene Slabach (Sam) of Middlebury; his siblings, Dave Chupp (Lena) of Topeka, Lester Chupp (Linda) of Nappanee, Norman Chupp (Pam) of Nappanee, Rudy, Jr. Chupp (Beth) of Chouteau, OK, John Chupp (Ruth) of Sugar Creek, OH, Inez Hochstetler of Mio, MI, Anna Mae Yoder (Harley) of Topeka, Edna Chupp (Floyd) of Goshen and Mary Ellen Chupp of Nappanee; and his sisters-in-law, Ruby Chupp of Bremen and Mattie Chupp of Middlebury. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; three great-grandsons.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Sam Miller Residence (7480 S 900 W, Ligonier, IN 46767). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Willie Schwartz Residence (8825 S 750 W, Ligonier, IN 46767). A burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at the Hawpatch Cemetery (6500 S 700 W, Topeka, IN 46571).
