He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hartzler and Mae Hartzler (Steele); and his brother Quentin Hartzler. He is survived by: his children, Amy Groff (Ted) of Ligonier, IN and Darrell Hartzler of Ligonier, IN; his grandchildren, Seth Groff (Amanda) of New Paris, IN and Quinn Groff (Jenna) of Topeka, IN; his great grandchildren, Eleanor Groff and Halley Groff; and his sister Royann Sprunger of Albion, Indiana..
