He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar R. Lillian F. Hart and Myrick; his siblings, Willard Ernest and Bobette; and his great grandchild J. T. Geyer.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Hart of Dunlap, Indiana; and his children, Tonia Roberts (Rodney) of Middlebury, Rod Hart (Lori) of Goshen and Kimberly Adkins (Lee) of Elkhart, Indiana. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
