She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlis Nixon and Thelma Thomas Nixon; and her brother John Nixon. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Peters; her children, Andy Peters (Mary Ellen), Tony Peters (Nancy), Kendrea Hufford (Mark), Brooks Peters, Holly Turner (Brian) and Kirsten Sommer (John); her grandchildren, Krista Miller (Chad), Amber Gibson (Dewan), Luke Peters, Lindsey Bauer (Derek), Sarah Jones (Drew), Spencer Peters, Trevor Hughes, Brady Turner (Caitie), Chace Turner, Kirby Sommer, Ben Sommer and Samantha Sommer; her great grandchildren, Isla Miller, Nile Gibson, Cassius Gibson, Larke Gibson, Zeke Peters, Ethan Bauer, Charlotte Bauer and Fallon Jones; and her sisters, Linda Hendrix (Dennis), Karen Gesell and Janet Miller. She is also survived by her husband, her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her extended family and friends.
