He was predeceased by: his father Michael Hampton. He is survived by: his mother Veldeanie Raby Hampton; his wife Cheryl Drake; his children, Abbigail L. Hampton and Matthew M. Hampton Jr.; his sisters, Vicki Crowe (Joe) and Rebecca Hampton; and his close friend Clint Long. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and an uncle.
