It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Dean Smith Sr. of Liberty, Indiana, who passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Connie L. Smith; his parents, Harvey Monroe Smith and Willie Vival Smith; and his siblings, Boyd Harvey Smith, James Odell Smith and Ruby Jean Austin.
He is survived by: his children, Harold Dean Smith, Jr. (Mary), Teresa Harris, Rachel Croucher and Julie Combs (Brandon); and his siblings, Mary Hatton (Gary), Doris Merritt, Rose Bowling, Phillip Smith (Marlyn), Joseph Smith (Marian) and Joyce Smith. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He enjoyed playing at the local nursing homes up until covid.
