He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his mother-in-law Judy Lay; his siblings-in-law, Chuck Bolton (Jo), Roger Lay (Lynn), Michelle Garrett, Christy Yerkes (Win) and Brandi Lay; his son Rick Coates (Carolyn); his granddaughters, Kayla Robinson (Austin) and Molly Greene (Mitchell); his brother Stephan Coates; his son Kip Coates; and his brothers, Rod and Larry Coates.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home (222 N 10th St, Richmond, IN 47374). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
