She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nevitt and Francis Nevitt (Greenback); her siblings, Alene Nevitt, Linda Nevitt, Paul Schmitt, Larry Schmitt and Danny Nevitt; her son-in-law Chuck Michalek; and her sister-in-law Nancy Nevitt.
She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" John Schmitt; her children, Richard Schmitt of Polo, IL, Greg Schmitt (Patty) of Princeton, IL, Mike Schmitt (Pam) of Wisconsin, Julie Taylor (Rick) of Princeton, IL., Barbie Hofmann (Erich) of Glenview, IL and Kathy Michalek of Princeton, IL; and her siblings, Rita Salsman (Steve) of Tiskilwa, IL and Jim Nevitt of Slidell, LA.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Tiskilwa Ambulance Services or BPart Transportation.
