He was predeceased by: his parents, Jo Ellen Clem Salkeld and James Harley Salkeld; his stepgranddaughter Savannah Brooke Scott; and his parents-in-law, Lindburgh "Elmer" Couch and Shirley Evelyn Williams Couch.
He is survived by: his daughter Lora Baumhardt (Matthew) of Willman, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Emery, Ella, Makinzie and Haddie; his sister Sally Needler (Gary) of Seymour, Indiana; his niece Joey Janell Needler; his nephew James Jerald Needler; his great-niece Adeline; his great-nephew Wyatt; and his siblings-in-law, Henrietta Faris (Jerry), Sharon Lucas (Ed), Barb Sims (Rob), Raymond Pennington (Lisa), Kenny Pennington (Rhonda) and Lynn Pennington (Michele). He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews.
