He is survived by: his parent Marka Marie Mullins (Mershall); his wife Bessy Carter (Martinez); his daughter Brianna Lynne Carter; his brother Evin Timothy Carter (Lindsey Hayter) of Powell, Tennessee; his siblings-in-law, Eddie and Stephanie Martinez; his nieces and nephews, Lauren, Matthew and Kate of Madison, Indiana; his sister-in-law Nidia Aguilar (Martinez) of Tallahassee, Florida; his stepbrother James Earl Mullins, Jr. of Clarksville, Indiana; his grandfather William Carter of Buckner, Kentucky; and his parents-in-law, Maria Teresa, Juan Ramon Martinez of La Esperanza and Copan (family: Jance). He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, and cousins from all sides of his family.
He was working as a Microbiologist for Zoetis Labs in Louisville, Kentucky at the time of his passing, and he spent several years as a Laboratory Technician at Prescient Medicine and PCR Scientist at Eurofins Genomics, where he led COVID-19 field testing at the height of the pandemic.
