He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cress and Letha Cress; and his brother Robert "Bob" Cress. He is survived by: his wife Mary McAllister; his children, Fred Cress, Jr. of Lexington, Indiana, Diane Miller of Lexington, Indiana and Conni VanCleave (Joey) of Lexington, Indiana; his siblings, Paul Cress (Cathy) of Indianapolis, David Cress (Sadie) of Columbus, Patricia Ford and Beverly Cress of Columbus, Indiana; his grandchildren, Robert Sharp, Ariel Sharp, CJ Hardin, Ryan VanCleave, Ashley VanCleave and Brooklyn McIntosh; and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Emma and Layne.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lexington Christian Church (2604 S Alexander St, Lexington, IN 47138). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations can be made in Fred's name to Lexington Christian Church in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
