He was predeceased by: his father Donald Thompson; his father-in-law J. R. Hurt; and his nephew Chris McGee. He is survived by: his significant other Eva Gwen Wilsman of Lexington, Indiana; his children, Jonathon Dare Thompson (Mylah) of Jasper, Cory Poling (Marey) of Madison, Evan Allen Poling of Madison, Indiana, Karris Lynn Thompson of Jasper and Sylvia Shea Thompson of Lexington, Indiana; his grandsons, Jimmy Thompson, Landon Poling and Malcolm Poling; his mother Debrah Henning Thompson of Winter Haven, Florida; his siblings, Steve Thompson of Cleveland, Ohio and Patti Alderman (Mike) of Lakeland, Florida; his mother-in-law Marcia Wilsman of Madison, Indiana; and his siblings-in-law, Babette Watterson of Madison, Indiana, Steve Cosby, Jr. (Sabrina) of Madison, Andrew Dowery (Amanda) of Madison and Benjamin Weary of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, several cousins and other relatives.
