He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Murl Newton Bruce and James Andrew Bruce; and his stepson Kevin Jackson. He is survived by: his former wife Virginia Paul; his wife Penny R. Colbert Bruce of Lexington, Indiana; his sons, William Randall Bruce (Wendy) of Madison, Gerald Lee Bruce of Lexington, Jeffery A. Bruce (Dawn) of Lexington and Brian Scott Bruce (Jim) of Lexington, Kentucky; his stepdaughter Kelly Charmoli (Greg) of Louisville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Olivia, Jack, Ava, George and Molly; his great grandchild Ryder; his brother Mike Bruce (Lisa); and his sister-in-law Jeanie McCabe of Louisville, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
