She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin Thomas and Irene Thomas (Cox); and her siblings, Mildred F. "Mickey" Vandegrift, Harold and Ralph Thomas.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Dale Gibson; her children, Gary Allen Gibson of Scottsburg, Jeffery Allen Gibson (Cassidy) of Commiskey, Mason Gibson of Lexington, Indiana and Lisa Dawn Dunn (Danny) of Lexington, Indiana; her siblings, Ronald Thomas (Pam) of Lexington, Indiana, Carol Huttsell of Scottsburg and Eula Hoard (Jim) of Blocher, Indiana; her stepson Michael Smith of Lexington, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Tyra (Alex), Tristen, Dale (Brittney), Derrick, Dustin and Darci. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
