He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Trevor Brown. He is survived by: his parents, Vernon Abbott and Betty Abbott (Knavel) of Charlottesville; his wife Phyllis J. Abbott of Lewisville; his children, Anthony Abbott (Rebecca Kinney), Susan Merkle (Ron) of Nashville, TN and Laura Brown of Ashburn, VA; his grandchildren, Aayla, Aaron and Alena Brown; his stepchildren, Shawn Masters and Sara McKeller; and his sister Carolyn O'Mori (Dean) of Noblesville. He is also survived by five step grandchildren.
