It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewel Pate-Thurman of Lewisville, Indiana, born in New Castle, Indiana, who passed away on November 10, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Edward and Ina Easter Winchester (Frogg); her husband Richard A. Thurman; her grandson-in-law Casey McDonald; and her brothers, John, James, Jesse, Julias and Jeral Winchester.
She is survived by: her former husband Hugh L. Pate; her children, Debra Barnes (Dwight), Diana Engle (John) and David Pate (Tina); and her grandchildren, Kevin Barnes (Arah), Andrea Stephenson (Jason), Laura McDonald, Jami Higar (Charles), Megan Reed (Lou) and Tristan Cook (Robert). She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
