He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Schlatter and Mildred Schlatter; his son Michael Schlatter; his sisters, Ethelyn Schlatter and Joan Stieglitz; and his brother-in-law Marvin Stieglitz.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Toth (Scott); his wife Elsie Schlatter; and his sons, Timothy Schlatter (Karen) and James Schlatter (Christy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grand-children.
