He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis O. Honig and Irene Honig (Johnson); his brother Louis Honig (Elizabeth); and his wife Ann Honig (Ludeman). He is survived by: his siblings, Irene Miltenberger (Bud), Ethel Vesper (Allen) and Theodore Honig (Mary); his children, Elizabeth Nussbaum (Ronald) of Angola and Richard E. Honig (Kathi) of Fort Wayne; and his grandchildren, John Nussbaum (Emily) of Fort Wayne, Lora Miner (Chris) of Fort Wayne, Leanne Hamlet (Ward) of Fort Wayne, Emily Carmody (Jesse) of Fort Wayne, Meg Heminger (Marcus) of Fort Wayne, Katie Rish (Tom) of Zionsville, Anna Witte (Dex) of Memphis, TN and Rachel Fiechter (Dan) of Bluffton. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
