He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wyss and Winifred Wyss; and his grandchildren, Emily Weimer and Jordan Schmucker. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Sharon L. Weimer (Terry), Theresa A. Berdelman, Julie J. Taylor (Daniel), Mary A. Schmucker (James), John C. Wyss and Tim P. Wyss (Karen); and his siblings, Dale Wyss (Sharon), Tom Wyss and Kathy Crick (James). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
