With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nanette Rae Schmidt of Leesburg, Indiana, born in Elwood, Indiana, who passed away on August 3, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Nanette Rae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nanette Rae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Boggess and Charlotte Boggess (Burns). She is survived by: her children, Scott Schmidt (Jeanette), Tami Hoffman, Jeff Schmidt and Melissa Miller; and her siblings, Edward Boggess (Anne), Richard Boggess (Julie) and Judy Garwood (William). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
