It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Sample of Leesburg, Indiana, born in Marion, Indiana, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Frank and Lydia Pauline Sample (Heil); and his siblings, Virginia Patton, Marjorie Carmichael, Esther (Richardson) and Leroy Sample.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Poe (James) of Marion, James Franklin Sample (Rhonda) of Gas City, IN and Dennis Sample (Melissa) of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Lifetime Companion and Judith Capes of Leesburg; and his sister Mary Ruth Baker of Indianapolis.
