It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veta Rose Vanderpool of Lebanon, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on April 4, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Bauman and Marian Bauman (Forey); her sister Gloria Partlow; her great grandchild Carlie Kortman; and her son-in-law Michael Hobson.
She is survived by: her husband Marion Luther Vanderpool; her children, Richard Butcher of Lebanon, Michael Vanderpool (Lisa) of Lebanon, Sandy K. Hobson of Lebanon and Sally Barton (David Herrmann) of Lebanon; her brother Arthur "Sonny" Bauman (Nancy) of Greencastle; and her grandchildren, Taylor Smith-Vanderpool (Jason) of Kokomo, Dustin Barton (Ashley) of Danville, Matthew Barton (Jessie) of Zionsville, Tyler Barton (Katie), Kim Richwine (Marc) of Lebanon, Stephanie Kortman (Ed) of Mechanicsburg, Joshua Hobson (Maree) of Thorntown, Lisa Butcher, Danny Butcher, Crissy Cole, Richard Butcher and Shawna Leier (Brandon). She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
