He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Pickering and Carolyn Pickering (Henley); his sister Mary Lou Wicker; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Wicker and Ronald Wesley.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Eileen Pickering (McDonald); his children, Martha Scott (Brad), Brian Pickering (Jo) and Sharon Cottrell; his grandchildren, Ryan Scott (Kristen), Todd Scott (Crystal), Shalee Butcher (Josh), Tyler Pickering, Megan Stearns (Jordan) and Shannon Cottrell; his siblings, John Pickering and Janet Wesley of Lewisville; and also, Ashley Feller, Will Feller, Brayden Scott (Scott), Tynlee Scott, Lona Butcher, Tatum Butcher and Parker Stearns. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
