He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Hilt and Betty Hilt (Rayl); his stepmother Carol Hilt (Thompson); and his son Kristopher Hilt. He is survived by: his family Mike; his wife Pam Hilt (Johnston); his children, David Hilt (Julie) of Indianapolis and Dana Tilford (Allan) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, David Hilt (Brittney), Tyler Hilt, Hannah Hilt, Valerie Hilt, Caroline Tilford and Alexandra Tilford; and his great grandchildren, Cooper, Jackson and Mason Hilt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in his memory to Boone County Cancer Society, Central Christian Church, or Suburban Hospice.
