He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry Douglas Darnell and Jane Lee Howard (McDonald); and his stepson Elijah Luke Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Darnell (Vaughn); his children, Megan Ann Darnell (James Almy) and Nicholas Ray Darnell; his stepchildren, Louis Lincoln Shepherd, Jr. and Jennifer Lynn Berry (Brannon Strahm); his grandchildren, Damian Rage Berry, Dylan Elijah Berry and Loki Devlin Strahm; and his sisters, Linda A. Darnell, Yvonne Howard (Donna Welton) and Joanna Shoemaker (Perry Jr.). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
