He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester B. Elmore and Ramona Wesley Hogue; and his sisters, Thelma and Reeva. He is survived by: his wife Janice Faye Spears Elmore; his foster sons, Anthony and Timothy Straine; his daughter Sherry Harvan (Matt) of Sheffield Village, Ohio; his grandchildren, Megan and David Harvan; and his siblings-in-law, Fredia Rice (Leroy), Sharlene Childress, Elizabeth Gaddis, Regina Theilman, Dena Brooks (Stuart), Charles Gaddis, Glen Varney (Suzy) and Phillip Varney (Jacci). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed in Lewis's memory to the Lebanon Rock Church.
