He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy M. Hicks and Opal Hicks (Campbell); his wife Mary Jane Hicks (Wright); his siblings, Robert E. Hicks, Roland Hicks, Jesse P. Hicks, Mary J. Haney, Rose Lewallen and Jacqueline Crane; and his son-in-law Steven Garman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Suzi L. Whitis (Russell) of Lebanon, Joyce A. Garman of Lebanon and Jan L. Lawson (David) of Bainbridge, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Jay Alford, Shawnna Hiatt, Dustin Kersey, Micah Kinnaman, Kreig Kinnaman, Kiel Kinnaman and Eric Kinnaman. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church or Charity of the donor's choice.
