He was predeceased by: his parents, George Spate and Hazel Spate (Hoffmeister); his siblings, James Spate and Peggy Spate; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Spate and Ron Lusk.
He is survived by: his wife Kris Spate of Lebanon; his daughters, Kerin Meyer (Steve) of Noblesville and Sarah Hewitt (Mark) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Eric Meyer, Libby Meyer, Josie Morrison and Phoebe Morrison; his siblings, Bill Spate of Florida, Gary Spate (Gail) of Florida and Nancy Lusk of Shelby, OH; and his sister-in-law Ginger Spate of Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Lebanon Christian Church.
