He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse A. Hise and Mae E. Hise (Wagoner); and his siblings, Richard Hise (Mary) and Carol Curtis (Gay). He is survived by: his former wife Linda L. Norton (Bowles); his close friend Linda L. Norton of Colfax; his children, James A. Hise, Jr. (Tracy) of Crawfordsville, Christina Lind of Colfax and Jason Hise (Pamela) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and his brother Jesse Hise (Sharon) of Arizona. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
