He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Fields and Mintie Jane Fields (Caines); and his siblings, Virgil Fields, Pat Fields, Eddie Fields, Delmar Fields, Glen Fields, Amy Jane Ward and Gaye Ann Fields.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Fields (Dickerson); his daughters, Rebecca Young (Mark) of Brownsburg, IN and Sue Ann Sandlin (Bill) of Brownsburg, IN; his granddaughter Emori Sandlin; and his sister Sandy Carter (Ted) of Lithopolis, OH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
