He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Cone and Jeannette Cone (Songy); and his spouse Alaine Lee Cone (Buckmaster). He is survived by: his children, William Cone (Jennifer) of Avon, Safiyah Iqbal (Yusuf) of Chico, Steve Zupan of Bradenton and Nina Muhney of McCordsville, Indiana; and his stepchildren, Bill Langley (Gretta) of Jacksonville and Shay Lynn Langley of Indianapolis. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
