She was predeceased by: her parents, William Floyd and Mary Alice Fairfield (Goode); her sister Ella Woodard; and her grandson Dustin Pennington. She is survived by: her husband Malcom Dick; her children, Charlie Pennington, II (Lora), William Jesse Pennington (Lisa), Lisa Russ (Pennington) and Shelby Ballard, Jr. (Katie); her grandchildren, Meranda Brennan, Kelsey Rachell, Cobie Ballard, Chastity Frederick, Michael Russ, Josh Pennington, Chuck Pennington, Emily White, Logan Pennington, Luke Pennington, Landon Pennington, Preston Russ, Branden Howe, Jackson Harsin, Jakob Harsin, Hunter Harsin, Erica Craft, Amanda Allaby and Jessica Wilson; and her sister Marilyn Sanders. She is also survived by twenty-four great grandchildren.
