He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Steelsmith and Florence Pearl Steelsmith (Byroad); his close friend Scenia Huff; his brothers, Winfred "Vonnie" Steelsmith, Wayne Steelsmith and Donald Steelsmith; his niece LaVonna Steelsmith; and his nephew Evon Steelsmith.
He is survived by: his nephew Steven Steelsmith (Karen) of Lebanon; and his nieces, Theresa Antone of Havlock, NC, Tamara Nelson of Maryland and Kathryn "Kathy" Hendry of Advance.
Memorials may be directed in his memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
