He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Broughton and Maggie Broughton (Messer); and his wife Carolyn J. Harrison Perry. He is survived by: his children, Steven R. Broughton, Douglas Broughton and Rhonda L. Carr of Loogootee; his stepchildren, Michael D. Perry of Springville, Donita G. Day of Loogootee and Rebecca A. Cantrell of Indianapolis; his siblings, Henry Broughton of English and Patricia Ramsey of Leavenworth; and his half-sister Mildred Milby of New Albany, IN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
